Rare Books
We sell printed books, which fall into the following categories; Travel and Topography, The Islamic World, India and Asia, Natural History, Science and Medicine, Sport, Illustrated Books, Modern First Editions, Children's Books, Private Press, Art and Architecture, Continental and English Literature and History.
Prints and Editions
Our prints department offers works by old master, modern, post-war and contemporary printmakers, featuring works from old master to contemporary artists, including etchings, woodcuts, screen prints, and lithographs.
Photographs and Photobooks
We offer works by 19th century pioneers, 20th century masters and contemporary artists;
Early daguerreotypes and calotypes, 19th century travel photography (India, China, Japan, Australia, Africa and the Pacific), modernist and experimental photography, portrait photography.
Vintage Posters
Our specialised vintage posters department covers a wide variety of subjects, to include sports, music, film and cinema, travel, advertising, war and propaganda, from around the world.
Drawings and Works on Paper
We sell 18th and 19th Century British Drawings and Watercolours and European Old Master drawings by artists working from approximately 1500 to 1900.
Maps and Atlases
Our Maps and Atlases department covers material from the earliest printed maps to the great cartographers Mercator, Blaeu, Ortelius, Visscher, Verbiest, Speed, Mauro, Gastaldi, Huang, de Jode and Munster, through to the modern period mapmakers. We handle maps relating to social history, demographics and propaganda, world maps, country maps, county maps, sea charts, estate maps and celestial maps.
